A graded activity lives in two places: you build and save it here, then you link it inside Populi so students’ scores flow into your gradebook automatically.
First, in this faculty site
- Build it in a toolOpen one of the builders above (Mark the Words, Bow-tie, Case Study, NGN Assessment Maker, or MSN Quiz Maker) and create your activity.
- Save it to the shared libraryClick Save to shared library in the builder. Only activities saved to the library appear in Populi — a one-off embed link will not.
- Make sure it can be gradedThe four builder quizzes send a score back to Populi. AI activities can’t be graded (debates, statement studios, and similar) — they don’t return a score, so they never show up in the Populi picker. In the Activities list, gradable course activities have a Graded toggle; AI ones show a locked “can’t be graded” note.
Then, in Populi
- Open the lessonGo to your course → Lessons → open the week/lesson, then click the Design tab.
- Add an LTI Link sectionClick Add a section and choose LTI Link.
- Choose the toolUnder LTI Tools, select BCON Activities.
- Launch the pickerFor Method, choose Create via LTI launch, then click Launch.
- Pick your activityIn the Add an activity window, select the quiz you saved to the library, then click Add to course.
- DonePopuli confirms “1 section added to course lesson” as an LTI Assignment. Click Back to Course Lesson. Students’ scores now return to your Populi gradebook automatically.
Don’t see the LTI Link option? Go to Course Settings, click External LTI Tools, and select BCON Activities. The LTI Link section type will then be available in the lesson.
Remember: save to the shared library first, and use a non-AI quiz. AI activities can never be graded, so they won’t appear when you launch the BCON Activities picker.
