Score for each question = words marked correctly minus words marked wrongly, never below zero, out of the number of answer words.

How to use the Mark the Words builder

Build a highlight-the-answer quiz, step by step

Name your quizOn the Build tab, click Edit settings on the bar at the top to set the Quiz title (e.g. “Priority nursing interventions”) and the attempts allowed.
Write the taskIn Task for students, tell students what to click — for example “Click the priority assessment areas.”
Enter the passage and mark the answersType the passage, and wrap each correct word in *asterisks* — e.g. *airway*, *breathing*. The line under the box lists the words you marked. Need a table? Use Insert table.
Check it as you goThe Student view beside the editor shows the question as students will see it. Click words and press Check answer to test it. Your edits apply to the question as you type; there is no separate save step for a question.
Add more questionsClick Add question in the list on the left. A green dot means a question has words marked; an amber ring means it still needs them.
Reuse questions (optional)Click Save to my bank to keep a question in your personal My bank tab so you can drop it into other quizzes later.
Try the whole quizClick Try it as a student → at the bottom (or the tab of the same name) to take the whole quiz as students will.
Publish & shareClick Save to shared library to save the whole quiz — you get a student link (works with no login) and can edit it later. Or click Get embed code for a one-off iframe to paste into your LMS.

Tip: Use Save to shared library for anything you’ll reuse or edit. The embed code is a fixed snapshot — it can’t be edited after you copy it.
